Super scholars start here
St. Francis Xavier students enjoy technology in every classroom. Whether its classroom iPads, Apple TVs or projectors, our classrooms encourage project-based experiments and collaboration. Some classes use innovative seating options and flexible mobile furniture to keep classrooms engaging for students and teachers.
All fifth through eighth grade students are issued iPads. Instead of lugging heavy text books in backpacks, students access textbooks and resources right on their device. This allows them to better prepare for high school, college and beyond. It inspires creativity and collaboration and puts necessary information right at their fingertips. Software safety management limits access to inappropriate sites and helps keep students focused. A classroom iPad set is available in the Learning Commons for grades PreK through 4th grade.
St. Francis Xavier’s curriculum meets all national and state standards. It is provided by the Florida Department of Education and infused with Gospel values provided by the Diocese of Venice. Instead of just offering a religion class, our Catholic faith is incorporated throughout the day across all subjects. We utilize McGraw Hill’s Reading Wonders as well as Accelerated Reader for our language arts program. We also use Sadlier’s Progress in Mathematics and supplement learning with Moby Max and Khan Academy.
