St. Francis will be offering a class for 3-year-olds (PreK3) beginning this coming August.  The class will contain a maximum of 15 children, with a certified full-time teacher and a full-time assistant.  Since it will be held in the child care building on Cottage Street, there will be some necessary changes in our child care offerings.  Here is important information that you will need to know for this summer and for the upcoming school year.

Summer, 2009:

o   Day care will be available at the Cottage Street facility during the weeks of May 26^th and June 1^st.  June 5^th will be the final day on which child care will be available at the Sister Elaine Mahoney Child Care Center.

o   Parents needing day care for their children after June 5^th are encouraged to contact Bonnie Ross at Father Anglim Academy (357-1682) for more information on FAA's "Summer Fun" Program.

2009-2010 School Year:

o   Because the PreK3 class will be held at the Cottage Street facility and is part of St. Francis' school program, the child care building will be renamed "The Sister Elaine Mahoney Early Education Center".

o   Before-school care (6:30-7:30 AM) and after-school care (3:00-6:00 PM) will be offered for St. Francis Xavier School students at the Early Education Center.  Parents may register their children for these services either at the Center or by calling Mrs. Kathleen Houghton in the school's Finance Office (334-7707 x 227).  Fees will be due on the first of the month, payable to "St. Francis Xavier School", and should be sent to the school office.
